Protein Power Cookies (Eggless)
If you’ve ever had a meal replacement bar, an energy bar, or a protein bar, well friends, I have good news: you can now make your very own, at home! This recipe will make a decent amount of cookies at about the cost of 1 of those aforementioned bars. I would like to add that it isn’t necessary to bake this batter, and if you want, you could just refrigerate the batter and you’ll always have a super nutritious breakfast ready for you! Video provided for you to follow along with, below.
Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 12 min
Total Time: 22 min
Serves: Makes about a dozen
1-2 Cups Oatmeal (add to desired consistency)
*1-2 Cups Quinoa Flour
2 Servings of your favorite Protein Powder (1 serving for us was 2 scoops, so we added 4 scoops)
1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper (Powder; Optional)
1 tbsp Cinnamon (Powder; Optional)
1 tsp Chia Seeds (Optional)
½ - ¾ Cup of Milk (Preferably Skim)
2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter (Optional; Click here to learn how to make your very own!)
1-2 Very Ripe Bananas (add to desired consistency)
1 Cup of Raisins
*Ignore if you chose to use Oatmeal.
Preheat the oven to 380oF. Measure 1 cup of oatmeal and pour into a large mixing bowl. Add your 2 servings of protein powder, as well as, the rest of the dry ingredients to the large mixing bowl. Add your bananas 1 at a time; you may only need to add 1, but it wouldn’t hurt to add more…they’re good for you after all! Mix and break down the bananas thoroughly. At this time you may also add your peanut butter, if you choose to do so; I didn’t this time, but the addition of peanut butter only makes your cookies that much better. Measure out the raisins to finish off the “dry” ingredients. Measure and add ½ cup of skim milk: start small, you can always add more milk if you wish, but if you add too much milk (like I did in the video) just keep adding protein powder and oatmeal until you get the desired consistency. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the batter looks like wet mud. Get a dark baking sheet and spray with a non-stick cooking spray. Use a tablespoon to spoon out the batter and place the spoonfuls of batter onto the cooking sheet, not too close to one another…if you want to experiment and just make one big cookie that would be awesome! Bake 10-15mins until golden brown and enjoy with a glass of skim milk.
Eat these an hour before you go play any sport for sustaining energy throughout a game and everyone on the field will be like “hey he’s/she’s cheating by taking performance enhancing drugs or something. He/She are just playing too damn good!” and then another person would be like “nah, he/she must have eaten those amazing protein power cookies that I saw online by those awesome twins” and then the first person would be like “let’s stop what we’re doing right now and go make those cookies!” and then the coach said “if you do that, you’re off the team forever.”
