EAS 100% Whey Protein
First off, we are not sponsored by EAS nor have any affiliation with them. This review is based purely on experience.
We discovered this product at our wholesale club. Recognizing the brand, but unfamiliar with this product we were intrigued to try it out. Fortunately for us we were in the market for a new protein powder, and when we saw that this product, EAS 100% Whey Protein, was offered in chocolate at 5 pounds for $34.00, $33.00 for vanilla, we jumped on it. Almost grabbed two bags, but had to restrain ourselves. Was it for real? With a deal this good we were almost too afraid to read the ingredients and nutritional information. However, again to our delight we were surprised to see it actually meant business! Looking for the key components of a good protein powder (Recall our article on How to Pick A Good Protein Powder) per serving it contains 26 grams of protein, as well as only 7 grams of carbohydrates. The calorie count was right on target too at 150 calories per serving, a proper amount for a post workout powder. The Amino Acid profile is fairly extensive with 19 different Amino Acids, including the big three: Arginine, Leucine, and Glutamine. However, the taste left something to be desired and the mixability has a stubbornness of a mule. Nevertheless with such a proper list of ingredients and at such a price, we’ll forgive them. Because when it’s all said and done the taste lingers for only a few seconds, but the benefits will last and you will see improvements. We’ll take that tradeoff any day!
