Ghost Chili Pepper Flake Review
As we’ve mentioned previously, adding a decent dose of capsaicin (the ingredient that makes hot peppers ‘hot’) to your daily diet will help boost your metabolism. We generally add: Red Pepper flakes, Cayenne Pepper, Sriracha and Tabasco to all of our food (yes ALL of our food, sweet and savory alike) but now, ladies and gentleman, Brian and I have found a doozy: The BHUT JOLOKIA or commonly known as The Ghost Pepper Dun Dun DUNNNNN!!!!!!
The Ghost Chili Pepper was certified by the Guinness World Records as the World’s Hottest Pepper, so naturally we decided we should try it. Since it is a tad too difficult to find Ghost Chili Peppers in the raw, our friends at Sonoran Spice Company (www.sonoranspice.com) provide crushed Ghost Chili Pepper; it looks similar to crushed red pepper, but it's much much much more devious.
Upon first opening the bottle, you will be lucky if you don’t go into a sneezing frenzy due to the pepper gases that have built up upon travel. At first you will think “Should I add the same amount of this stuff as I would with red chili flakes?” or maybe you will just start pouring it all over your food and think “Should I have added the same amount of this stuff as I would with red chili flakes?”…I would like to say I did the latter. Upon eating you will not notice the pepper…at first. As the meal goes on, the sweatier you will become and your anger will increase as you become short tempered due to the heat intensity of the food being amplified by the burning sensation caused by the capsaicin within the specter pepper. I’m not kidding when I say this will cause you to sweat…so don’t bring this on your first date, or if you’re meeting your girlfriend’s/boyfriend’s parents for the first time, or if you are going on a business luncheon/dinner.
Overall this product is great, we eat it every day and have almost finished the bottle after only a couple of weeks. We recommend this product to everyone, however, this is definitely not for someone who is just jumping into the hot pepper game…start small kiddo and work your way to this.
